Work - Work - Work

I am sure that there are those out there that always feel as though they are ALWAYS working! I think today is one of those days for me. Things have certainly been much slower in the recruiting business because of the slow economy....but oh my goodness - this is WAY slow!

I have finally realized that I can't control every aspect of my day (lord this is difficult to swallow); and can only contain most of the uncontrollables.

So instead....I will resort to this -

I swear I am going to get this thing going...

Ok.....so I am horrible at keeping up with this thing (obviously, I have blogged in 7 months). Come on...my life isn't that busy where I can't keep up with something.

So my promise...I will blog more often and keep pictures coming.

Headed to San Francisco

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted anything new lately. Jason and I made it back safely from our trip, and I had about a day back in Nashville. I am headed out to northern CA (specifically Sonoma and San Francisco) this afternoon for work.

I will try and post later this week - if I don't, please don't be mad.

Saturday Night in Des Moines

Jason and I got back to Iowa last Friday evening. On Saturday morning I drove up to Des Moines (somewhere I haven't been in the last 2 years). And boy was it worth the wait!!!!!

Once getting into Des Moines, I ran over and picked Meghan up. We were able to run errands throughout the morning in preparation of her party being held that evening. We got over to my aunt and uncles sometime after noon. The afternoon was full of swimming, drinking, and tons of laughs. After dinner (ribs and Iowa sweet corn - goodness I miss that), I got ready to met up with the girls (Erin, Amber, Natasha, and Andrea). I have to say...I am probably one of the luckiest girls in the world. To have such great friends is such a blessing.

We ended up going to Meghan's party for a bit, and then off to Old Chicago - where appetizers and larger than life beers were enjoyed. What a night...full of laughter, tears (because of the laughing) and memories. I miss my girls...and can't wait until we are able to get together again.

Erin, Amber and I at Meghan's house for her party - this was before everyone got there.

Erin, Amber, me and Tosh - LOL

Me, Meghan, and Brian - all standing according to age - too bad I am the oldest!!!!

Nashville Fourth of July

For the Fourth of July, Jason and I were invited to Kent and Steve's house. After grilling out, we headed to a park in Brentwood. Here is our 4th of July:

Sorry this should have been posted sooner...didn't have my blog up at that point.

What's your Morning Routine???

My first thought this morning...do I run and get coffee? The Starbucks is not far from the house, but is that morning coffee run worth the gas, motivation, traffic and cost?

My decision - it SURE IS! The coffee run in the morning is to some their workout, their daily bagel, a warm shower, or that radio station that play your favorite song. It's a time that I have to myself...the simple pleasures in life. Some people just need a routine; something they can always count on.

Me - I count on my Grande White Chocolate Mocha. It NEVER lets me down.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Blogging

WOW! I have finally created a blog! After admiring Meredith's (Eric's wife) blog for the longest time, and just finding out that Amber has a blog for Alexis. I decided that it was time that I have a blog too...somewhere I can update everyone in one place. This is too exciting!!!!

Now what do I talk about....myself, Jason, or Molly. You'll have to forgive me if my posts over the next few days are from the past. Well back to it...oh yes...Molly!

Jason and I got Molly last May (as soon as I moved to Nashville). She was only 8lbs. when we picked her up. I was on craigslist one day and saw that a family from Gallatin was trying to get rid of some puppies. Since I was working from home, I thought - why not?!?!?!? So we made the drive and came back with a beautiful little girl. Since last May, Molly has grown to now 40lbs...and is almost human-like. Its mostly my fault since I talk to Molly as if she were human. But she is amazing. I couldn't imagine my life without her (and of course Jason....LOL). Here are a few pictures of Molly (now and from before):

This one was taken while I was working....this is Molly's favorite place to sit.

As you can see this is Molly's favorite chair - like I said 'human-like'

Merry Christmas Molly - 2007

This was taken when Molly was still under 20lbs. She was watching tv with me "Lady & The Tramp"

Well I hope my blogs don't bore you to tears....leave comments, and I will do my best to update often. Jason and I are headed back to Iowa on Friday, so I am sure I will be posting more information then.
